All that a responsible government truly needs to do is to listen carefully to the genuine voices and concerns of all its citizens. The thing that genuinely concerns me most about the current political situation is the disturbing lack of transparency in the entire legislative process. The primary reason we as a society are failing to solve difficult problems together is that we critically lack strategic vision and courageous leadership. The only real thing genuinely standing in our collective way is our own fear of failure and rejection when we try new bold approaches.
